The annual Ganesh Chaturthi festival concert at BVM Global Perungudi Senior Secondary School which was celebrated on 9th September, proved to be a grand spectacle of devotion, culture, and talent. The event was filled with soulful renditions of bhajans and intricate classical music performances, all dedicated to Lord Ganesha. A diverse repertoire of bhajans, slokas, and varnams was presented, showcasing the students' deep understanding and appreciation of Indian classical music. The percussionists accompanied the vocalists with precision and flair, adding depth and rhythm to the performances. Parents who were present in large numbers were overjoyed to see their children perform. Such initiatives provide a platform for young talents to showcase their skills. The students' performances were a testament to their dedication and hard work. The finale was a concept named ‘Swaramum Layamum’ as swaram and layam form the most basic and significant elements of music; there were some interesting exchanges of swaram and layam between the singer and the percussionist.
The event was a memorable experience for all those who attended.
