EDUCATIONAL TOUR CLASS VII
The students of class VII visited Mahabalipuram on 21st January, 2017. The journey from Chennai to Mahabalipuram in the morning was an unmatched experience. In Mahabalipuram, the children were amazed by the natural rock formation called „Butter Rock‟ or „Krishna‟s Butter Ball which is precariously perched on a 45 degree slope. They also marveled at the architectural efforts of Pallavas after visiting the rock-cut rathas of Pandavas, the statues of elephants and Mahishasuramardhini‟s cave. The students observed that the carvings have eroded due to salty winds and thus are very less detailed. On the return journey, the students visited „Tiger caves‟ where they had lunch and played games. This was an amazing experience for students and teachers as it was very informative and fun-filled.
