FIELD TRIP CLASS IV

Students of class 4 went on a field trip to the ‘ICF Railway Museum.’ Trains have always fascinated people and our young budding minds were no exception. They were full of zeal and enthusiasm throughout the trip. The children took a detailed tour around the steam and diesel engines on display. They got an insight into the history of India and her railway heritage when they viewed the coaches (Saloon) that once belonged to the Maharaja’s and officers of the higher rank. The children listened to the curator in rapt attention as he explained in detail the intricacies of changing the tracks, signals and the movement of the locomotives. He also graciously clarified the questions posed by the children. The highlight of the trip was the joy train ride, which the children enjoyed immensely. The ‘Miniature Railway’ inside the museum had on display a replica of the Central station complete with the working model of an electric engine. Overall, the visit proved to be pleasurable learning experience.
