National Science Day 2016-17
The National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2017 with great fervor and gusto. Harshav of class V gave a speech, in the Assembly, on the importance of Science Day. Our Principal Ms. Debjani Ghosh inaugurated the day’s proceeding by planting a sapling. The students of primary classes planted saplings, a whopping 110, in the school campus. Students of class VIII contributed by naming all the plants and trees which were inside the school campus. The trees and plants were labeled with their botanical names. Students of class VI and VII added their bit to the celebrations by displaying charts of different generation of computers and also of scientists and their discoveries. The students emphasized the use organic food and avoidance of junk food. They also stressed on the need to avoid using plastics in day to day life.
