CAREER CONNECT INITIATIVE-2
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is one of the most sought-after courses in the medical
field. In the second Career Connect initiative BVM Global @ Perungudi organised an online
informative session with Dr.Muthukumaraswami for all the students looking out for a career
in dental medicine.
The speaker spoke about the emergence of the field as a separate domain. He also helped the
students understand the importance of dentistry, how the field is not only about the treatment
of the oral region but also a part of the personality. He made the students aware of all the sub-
specialities in the field like – Endodontic, Periodontics, oral medicine to name a few. He also
gave a synopsis on how children can pursue the degree and the qualification criteria for the
same. An overview of the career opportunities was also shared.
The students were inspired by his talk. The interactive session proved fruitful and students
gained a lot of insight about the field.
